Myra graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in May 2016 with a dual degree in Classics and philosophy, with a minor in Science & Public Policy. She has a long-standing interest in bioethics at the intersection of health, law, public health ethics, and policy-making. She has developed a bioethics and healthcare curriculum for high school students and works for the Josie King Foundation, a nonprofit patient safety organization. Myra has also worked as an intern at the World Health Organization with the Regional Bioethics Advisor, as well as at the Public Justice Center in Baltimore working on health rights. Myra recently matriculated into the M.S. in Bioethics program at Columbia University.
