Subha Perni is a medical student at Columbia University. She majored in philosophy at Princeton, winning the Class of 1869 Prize in Ethics for her thesis on moral decision-making. She is a guest editor of the AMA Journal of Ethics and has completed the Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics. She has received grants for research on moral distress in medical students and cultural variance in perceptions on autonomy. She plans to specialize in radiation oncology, and is also studying informed consent practices for radiation. She is interested in a wide range of bioethical issues.
